Though the first season was great, I thought this one was a lot better. This season just deals a lot more with Dexter’s grayness as a character, and the sacrifices that have to be made for being such a fucked-up guy. It has some shocking moments (things that the audience didn’t want to happen happened) and a much better finale than the first season.

This season was also a lot… sexier. I think they really pumped up the Showtime aspect into it by adding more (sometimes gratuitous) nudity and sexuality to the series, though it remains tasteful and appropriate.

Can’t wait for the third season. I can’t even imagine how they’ll take it further.
