GDC Game: An idea just popped into my head.

I continue to be exhausted, but I took a nap sometime in the afternoon which gave me enough strength to think about my pre-GDC game.

I e-mailed Petri Purho (from Kloonigames) earlier this morning because I was curious to see his approach on making his many games. He was nice enough to get back a few hours later and told me that he just worked whenever he could, very sporadically.

Since I don’t have that luxury I will continue to give some time to think every day. Today I did come up with an idea for a game, and I’m sticking with it. It seems like a tough concept, but perhaps that is part of the challenge.

It’s hard to think when you have a blank page in your sketchbook anyway. I’m glad I’ve set a few constraints, and that I have a direction. The point is to have something done, not to have the BEST THING EVER CREATED. Sometimes it’s hard to disconnect the perfectionist inside myself, though.
